1980Birth of a fashion standard

After ten years of experience in men’s fashion, Mario Lamanque, an expert in male clothes retailing, opens his first store under the name of Felix Homme in Montreal, Canada. He begins a journey in the realization of his dream: empowering men everywhere to be sharply well dressed.


The 1980’sGrowth of a canadian fashion network for men

Mario furthers his dream of offering top of the line fashion to all men when he opens a second store in 1983. His desire to thrive coupled with his love for the trade allowed him to develop his entrepreneurship skills. The expansion of his fashion network continues in 1986 when he opens his 5th menswear store in Quebec.


2004The Merge with Vincent d’Amérique

The 1990’s see a slow but steady growth of the network, brigning the number of opened stores to eight by the year 2000. In 2004, the acquisition of Vincent d’Amérique almost doubles the number of stores in the network. Overnight, this acquisitoin brings enormous success to Mario’s business and enables him to rapidly grow in several areas of men’s fashion retailing. While converting Felix Homme stores to the Vincent d’Amérique name, the acquistion enables the opening of one store a year since 2005, with Granby, Sherbrooke, Repentigny, Gatineau, Rimouski and Sept-Îles.


Present and future of men’s clothing

The Vincent d’Amérique name is now:

  • 20 stores all over Eastern Canada.
  • Top of the line suits, casual clothes and accessories for men.
  • A renowned consistency in quality of cuts and models.
  • A customer service that is understanding of the challenges of modern men.

Thirty years in the making, Vincent has now conquered Quebec. It now opens its horizons with its new online store. This innovation will enable Vincent d’Amérique to further its offering to all men worldwide, 24 hours a day.
